Committees

Will consist of facility members (no specific number) and the MASA Board’s Treasurer, who will act as a liaison between the committee and the board. The group will meet virtually as needed to discuss education materials for the MASA events. The committee will coordinate educational topics/sessions for breakouts at membership meetings and the Annual Education Day event (1 breakout at each membership meeting, and 5 breakouts at the education day).

The group will meet virtually as needed to discuss education materials for the MASA events. The committee will coordinate educational topics/sessions for breakouts at membership meetings and the Annual Education Day event (1 breakout at each membership meeting, and 5 breakouts at the education day).

The legislative committee works closely with the MASA lobbyist and board to preview and advise on introduced legislations, attend legislative committee meetings, assist in drafting any amendment language and attend meetings with key legislators on behalf of MASA issues.

Will consist of facility members (no specific number) and the MASA Immediate Past President, who will act as a liaison between the committee and the board. The group will meet virtually as needed to discuss education materials for the MASA events. The committee will coordinate educational topics/sessions for breakouts at membership meetings and the Annual Education Day event (1 breakout at each membership meeting, and 5 breakouts at the education day).

The Membership Committee will consist of two facility members and two vendor members, and the MASA Board’s 1st Vice President. The members will be appointed by the MASA Board. The 1st Vice Chair will act as the Chair of the Committee. This group will meet virtually, as needed, to discuss strategies for attracting new members. The main responsibilities of the Membership Committee are to recruit new members and retain existing ones for MASA. This will involve strategic tasks such as developing recruitment plans, identifying member needs, designing new services, contacting prospective members, onboarding new members, and reaching out to former members who have lapsed.

The Public Relations Committee will consist of two facility members and two vendor members appointed by the MASA Board and the MASA Board’s 2nd Vice President. The acting Chair of the Committee will be the MASA Board’s 2nd Vice President. This group will meet virtually, as needed, to discuss strategies for promoting the association. The main responsibilities of the Public Relations Committee are to promote MASA in a positive, consistent, and professional manner. The committee works to increase visibility, highlight key initiatives, and support consistent messaging across all outreach efforts.
